Genndy Tartakovsky, the creator of such classics of animation as Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, and Star Wars: Clone Wars, is back with Primal Season 3, which is both a continuation and a reset for his caveman-and-dinosaur epic.

We spoke with the animator about his decision to bring back main character Spear (Aaron LaPlante) -- despite his being killed off at the end of Season 2.
