In 2012, Arkane Studios launched themselves into the spotlight with their visionary immersive sim masterpeice - Dishonored. It transformed a team known only for niche action RPGs into an industry heavy hitter and meant that all eyes were on what they would do next...

Could they stay true to their artistic ideals while the industry shifted towards endless open worlds and predatory live service? Would the studio survive the outside pressure and create something that could compete with Elder Scrolls, Resident Evil, Dark Souls and Zelda?

This is the story of the beautiful chaos that is the sequel they created - Dishonored 2 - a mixture of soaring ambition, strange mistakes, once in a generation ideas and long held wounds.

It's part critique, part retrospective, part review and part history lesson - obviously full of spoilers and obviously full of my opinions
