I love the scream movies. From the moment it was announced by Kevin Williamson, I hoped Scream 5 would be a direct sequel to Scream (1996) and ignore the past 3 films in the horror movie franchise. Blumhouse's Halloween 2018 reboot worked so well, it spawned a new sequel trilogy that includes Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
