From director Travis Knight, Wildwood is LAIKA’s next stop-motion animated feature film, based on the bestselling novel by Colin Meloy (lead singer of The Decemberists) and illustrated by Carson Ellis. Wildwood will release in theaters October 23, 2026.

The narration in Where Magic Takes Flight was recorded by a live actor and produced by LAIKA’s Creative Marketing team. Every element, from performance to sound to design, is handcrafted and artist-led.
