Greg Alba, John Humphrey & Jon Maturan kick off TED Season 2 with their reaction & review of Episode 1, “Talk Dirty to Me,” and Episode 2, “Mrs. Robichek.” Peacock’s outrageous prequel series to Seth MacFarlane’s hit Ted films returns to the 1990s with more chaotic misadventures from teenage John Bennett and his foul-mouthed living teddy bear best friend. In “Talk Dirty to Me,” John (Max Burkholder, Parenthood, The Purge) and Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy, The Orville) discover a hidden phone in the school basement and decide to call a phone sex hotline — a prank that quickly spirals out of control when the charges rack up thousands of dollars on the school’s bill. With administrators scrambling to find the culprit, a tough investigator from the district is brought in to interrogate students and staff, forcing John and Ted into increasingly ridiculous attempts to cover their tracks. Episode 2, “Mrs. Robichek,” dives into Ted’s surprisingly emotional side when he begins a risky affair with a married woman and finds himself far more invested than he expected. Meanwhile, John’s parents Matty Bennett (Scott Grimes, Band of Brothers, The Orville) and Susan Bennett (Alanna Ubach, Legally Blonde, Coco) deal with some hilariously awkward marital issues as they try to figure out the cause of Matty’s sudden erectile dysfunction. John’s outspoken cousin Blaire Bennett (Giorgia Whigham, The Punisher, 13 Reasons Why) continues to challenge the household dynamic as Ted’s antics threaten to blow up everyone’s lives.
