So, last week James Gunn announced the next Superman movie. “Man of Tomorrow” will release on July 9, 2027, and will be a team up movie with Superman and Lex Luthor joining forces to stop a greater threat.

I absolutely loved the first movie, David Corenswet is perfect as Superman and so is Nicholas Hoult as Lex, and I’m so excited to see where James Gunn is going next with this universe.

Especially releasing only two years later, which is lightning fast compared to other superhero sequels, it feels like Superman as a character is finally getting a proper spotlight and making the cultural impact that he’s needed after so long.

With Superman having such a huge mythos and wide variety of villains, there’s so many different directions that they could go to expand on what the first movie set up.
