Is Velvette X Melissa CANON? Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Shipping Analysis

Recently fans have been shipping velvette with a character called melissa. Who is she? Is it canon? Let me explain.

So during season 1 we see velvette call for her assistant melissa to show off some clothes.

During season 2 we see melissa again, but she’s had a glow up.

During one scene vox shows some images of velvette, and in one we see velvette personally styling her.

Velvette is canonically lesbian, so after this a bunch of fans began shipping vel and mel, with some fans labelling the ship as velissa. It’s blown up on sites like tiktok, with lots of fanart being drawn.

Personally i like it. I think they make a cute couple, and in season 3 it could be interesting to see their relationship blossom. We’ve seen vox’s employee ethan appear more frequently this season so it’s not out of the question that melissa could get a bigger role as well. Obviously all of this is a bit hopeful, considering we’ve only seen them together in 2 scenes.
