Climbing to Top 500 playing only tank — no swaps, no shortcuts. In this video, I break down the reality of the tank role in Marvel Rivals and why it's the most punishing yet rewarding role in the game. From clutch ult blocks that never show up on the scoreboard, to taking space your team refuses to capitalize on, tanking is a constant uphill battle — especially in the nightmare that is bronze through platinum thanks to chrono cards, leavers, and AFKs.

Compared to DPS or support, I barely had to comm until Celestial. But as a tank? I had to start comming in Grandmaster just to carry people who didn’t understand basic positioning. That said, tank has one huge edge — team synergy. The whole match revolves around you. If you’re not making plays, no one is. I chose Dr. Strange for this challenge because of his offensive ult and ability to create plays without relying on teammates. My core lineup was Strange, Emma, Thing, Groot, and Mag.

Don’t attempt this if you’re not ready to be flexible, lead your team, and swap between tank types. You will lose games due to bad teammates — but if your gameplay is consistent, you will climb.
