First Order TIE Fighter Explained Fast

Just like the Empire that came before it, the First Order used its own standard and variant versions of the TIE fighter. The standard First Order TIE was finally given basic shields by default, offering more protection to their pilots. This makes some sense, because the First Order did not have the same access to personnel as a galaxy-wide Empire. The shields added weight to the fighter, but thanks to advances in Twin Ion Engine technology, the standard First Order TIE did not have to sacrifice speed for safety, and reached top speeds of twelve hundred kilometers per hour, the same as a standard Imperial TIE. They were thirty three percent more expensive than the Imperial models, but the First Order was funded by corrupt New Republic senators and received assistance from the Corporate Sector Authority, who preferred the leadership of fascism over democracy. #starwars #tiefighter
