Disclaimer: the tarantula shown in the video is a living animal that was placed in a decorative glass jar for filming purposes only. Jars like the one shown are NOT suitable for long term keeping of any animals! The spider was under constant supervision by a qualified keeper on set, placed in a dark box between takes and only sat in the jar for half a day total. Tarantulas can live for up to 20 years, they are not toys and should be treated with the same care as any other animal on a film set. The tarantula is an adult 12yo Lasiodora parahybana female called Harley.
