Constantine is a 2005 American superhero horror film directed by Francis Lawrence in his directorial debut. The movie follows John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), an exorcist and occult detective with the ability to see angels and demons hidden among humans. Having been condemned to hell for a past attempt at "leaving this realm early", Constantine seeks redemption by banishing demons back to the underworld.

When a skeptical LAPD detective, Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz), seeks his help in investigating her twin sister’s mysterious death, they uncover a terrifying conspiracy involving Lucifer, the Spear of Destiny, and a half-angel’s plan to unleash hell on Earth. With time running out, Constantine must face his past, challenge demonic forces, and confront his ultimate destiny.
