A lengthy retrospective examining the history and importance of Alpha Protocol - the forgotten black sheep of the immersive sim/action RPG world - and how it asks us to decide if function or ambition are more important to a game's quality.

Along with that we'll also look at the history of Obsidian Entertainment, one of the most unlucky developers in history, and how they went from the peak of the industry, to the brink of bankruptcy and all the way back again.

It's part critique, part retrospective, part review and part history lesson - obviously full of spoilers and obviously full of my opinions.
